Each month, VSA arts of California celebrates a California artist with disabilities, spotlighting their life, work, and accomplishments. Our featured artists are of all ages and practice an array artistic disciplines, from music, dance, and theatre to painting, sculpture, photography, and beyond. If you, or someone you know, has an interest in being featured as VSA arts of California's Artist of the Month, please contact Amy Picard via email at vsasamy@earthlink.net with the following information:
- high quality images of the work (performing artists please submit action stills)
- high quality image(s) of the artist (optional)
- the artist's biographical information (hometown, age, education, artistic training, etc.)
- information about the artist's work, including any awards or commendations the work has received
Adult visual artists with disabilties may also want to consider becoming a member of the VSA Artists Community, VSA arts of California's online gallery.
